金子和明

Kazuaki Kaneko serves as the band conductor for the Kazo City Flyingcarp Wind Orchestra, and the Saitama Junior Wind Orchestra, and holds roles as a member conductor for the Omiya Wind Symphony. Additionally, he acts as the assistant conductor at Saitama Prefectural Matsubushi High School. He studied tuba with Jun Sugiyama and Susumu Ogino, conducting with the late Masayoshi Sakurai and Tsunanobu Kawamoto, conducting techniques and harmony theory with Atsushi Yoshizawa and band direction under Soichi Konagaya.

His career began as a school teacher and band director at Saitama Prefectural Showa High School in 1998, followed by tenures at Saitama Prefectural Kuki High School and Saitama Prefectural Fudooka High School. While leading the Fudooka High School Wind Orchestra, he performed at the West Kanto Band Competition, representing Saitama Prefecture in 2017 and 2019. Kaneko actively participates in international exchange initiatives, hosting visiting groups from Germany, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. He boasts experience conducting overseas, having led performance tours in Singapore and Malaysia on three occasions.

Presently, Kaneko shares his expertise in teaching geography, history, and civics for academic classes at Matsubushi High School. Additionally, he holds roles as the chief director of the Saitama Prefecture Band Association East District Branch, a director of the Experts Group of Saitama Senior High School Cultural Federation Wind Band Department, and a board member of the Japanese Band Directors Association (JBA) Saitama Branch.

At Fudooka High School, he participated in the West Kanto Wind Band Competition as a representative of Saitama Prefecture in 2017 and 2019. Actively engaged in international exchange activities, they have hosted groups visiting Japan from Germany, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, and have conducted three overseas concert tours (Singapore and Malaysia).

He is an advisor and conductor for the brass band clubs at Saitama Prefectural Showa High School, Prefectural Kuki High School, Prefectural Fudooka High School, and Prefectural Matsubushi High School. At Fudooka High School, he participated in the West Kanto Wind Band Competition as a representative of Saitama Prefecture in 2017 and 2019. Actively engaged in international exchange activities, they have hosted groups visiting Japan from Germany, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, and have conducted three overseas concert tours (Singapore and Malaysia).
Studied conducting with the late Masayoshi Sakurai, Tsunanobu Kawamoto, and Atsushi Yoshizawa, harmony with Atsushi Yoshizawa, wind instrument instruction with Soichi Konagae, and Tuba with Jun Sugiyama and Susumu Ogino.

Currently, he is a permanent director of the Saitama Prefecture Brass Band Federation, Eastern Branch Branch Chief, a director of the Saitama Prefecture High School Cultural Federation Brass Band Specialist Subcommittee, a permanent director of the Saitama Prefecture Division of the Japan Wind Band Instructors Association, conductor of the Saitama Junior Wind Orchestra, and the Omiya Citizens Wind Orchestra. Member conductor, conductor of the Kazo City Flyingcarp Wind Orchestra, teacher of geography, history, and civics at Matsubushi High School, Saitama Prefecture.
