Chung Chi Woo

Chi Woo Chung received his early musical training from Raymond Young and Nancy Loo. Alongside his music studies, he achieved a degree in Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He was accepted with scholarships into the Manhattan School of Music in New York, where he worked with Zenon Fishbein, a long time faculty of the conservatory and the founder of the Prague Music Performance Festival, later earning his Bachelor and Master degree in Piano Performance. He had studied harpsichord with Kenneth Cooper and composition with Nils Vigeland. He has performed in master classes with such renowned pianist as Arie Vardi, Volker Banfield, Arthur Greene and Martin Ballý. As a chamber musician, Chung has collaborated with Mivos Quartet, Baroque Aria Ensemble, and the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble. Some of his recent performances include recitals at the Steinway Piano Hall, World Financial Center, Theresian hall of Brevnov Monastery, the Bethlehem Chapel, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre and Hong Kong City Hall Theatre.
