Franchesca Wong

Franchesca is a freelance actress who grew up in Hong Kong and Canada, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Calgary, Canada, with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Subsequently, in 2019, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts ( Honours ) degree in Drama from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts ( HKAPA ), majoring in Acting.

She has received multiple scholarships, as well as Outstanding Actor Award during her studies at HKAPA. She also had multiple overseas learning experience including Performance Tour to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in UK, Mozarteum University Salzburg in Austria, attended the Odin Week Festival in Denmark as well as the Grotowski Workshop in Tai Wan. She has performed in multiple stage, film, TV and commercial productions. She was an actor-in-residence at Wedraman Group in 2020-21. In 2022, she was nominated for the Hong Kong Small Theatre Best Actress Award for her solo play Every Brilliant Thing ( by Duncan Macmillan ).

Currently she hosts for RTHK's TV program Vibrant Hong Kong, and is an experienced, dynamic emcee, drama instructor, and corporate trainer. Outside of work, she is an avid outdoor adventurer and a dedicated community volunteer.
