Hege Haagenrud

Hege Haagenrud is one of Norway’s most renowned and critically acclaimed
choreographers. since 2002 she has choreographed more than 20 works, for the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Dansens Hus and Oper Am Rhein among others. In 2007 she received Performing Arts Hub Norway’s Jubilee Award, in 2016 she was nominated for the Norwegian Dance Critics Award, and in 2017 she was represented through Aerowaves with the performance The rest is silence. Hagenruud is known for combining interview sequences and documentary material with techniques of estrangement such as lip
synchronization and strict movement patterns, thus creating a tension between concrete references to our reality and open-ended gestures.
