Artistic Director and Conductor

World renowned conductor Dr Henry Shek has been the artistic director and conductor of the VTC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus since 2006. Dr Shek has collaborated with many prestigious orchestras, opera houses and ballet companies in Europe, the United States and Asia. He has also received many international honours including the conducting prizes at the San Remo Opera House ( Italy ), the Besançon ( France ) and the Herbert von Karajan (West Germany) competitions. Dr Shek's music ranges from Broadway musicals, opera, symphony, pops to Jazz. His recordings with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra have also been the international best sellers. Committed to promoting music for years, Dr Shek was awarded the "Most Outstanding Chinese of the World" and an honorary doctorate degree in 2006.
