After having completed his training in Live Art and experimental theatre at the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus, he went onto perform, write, direct and initiate a number of performances, installations and mail art projects at National Review of Live Art (UK), Diskurs Festival (Germany) and a work for 40 performers from five countries funded by the British Council (Moldova).
Outside of performance his creative practice spans radio broadcasting, archiving and book making which has seen exhibitions, commissions and collaborations at the Centre for Fine Print Research, Dartington Bookbindery and the British Library (UK).
He is the Founder and Editor of the Hip Hop Dance Almanac and Ink Cypher and delivered the first Hip Hop Dance Writing Lab in Hong Kong in April 2025. He curated a digital season of Hip Hop works for ZOOTV at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2021, conceived and programmed the Hip Hop Dance Summit for Pavilion Dance South West in 2015 and worked with the UK's pioneering breaking crew Second To None to build B-town Throwdown - the UK's biggest, outdoor Hip Hop dance festival from 2009-2014.
He is an Organisational Dramaturg, Producer and Executive Director who over the last 10 years has produced indoor, outdoor, digital work and development programmes in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and extensively across UK/Europe.
