Moon

Moon graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, BA(Hons) in Communication Design in 2019. Currently teaching art in secondary schools. In 2020–2021 she participated in the Jockey Club ICH+ Innovative Heritage Education Programme. Under the guidance of Betty Ho, she used the skills of Guangcai with observing of local daily life and culture. Some of the works exhibited in this showcase revolve an interesting local street name in Hong Kong. If you talk about "shaped" streets, you will think of "Triangle Street" in Wan Chai. This work is showing the old-fashioned shops in Hong Kong, such as fruit shops and pawn shops, as well as Fruit Market with various handwritten signs, which have a strong human touch. The "Square Street" in Sheung Wan blends old and new, with authentic iron gates and ancient HK style cafe, as well as trendy and colorful graffiti walls.
