簡介

Thirteen-year-old Anson WONG was born in Hong Kong. He is a junior high student at Diocesan Boys’ School and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). His music journey began at Tom Lee Music Foundation since the age of 4, and he is now an accomplished performer of piano, bassoon, percussion, computer music, as well as composition. He has been a frequent first-prize winner in many competitions and is the recipient of scholarships from Tom Lee Music, Yamaha Music Japan and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA).

In 2013, he was awarded an ATCL diploma from Trinity College London with distinction, and in 2014 he won first prize at the prestigious Betty Drown Piano Concerto Competition of the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. He performed at the 2014 International Piano Performance and Education Conference, and was featured and interviewed by Hong Kong’s classical radio station RTHK4 where he played traditional repertoire as well as improvisation. He recently appeared as a special guest performer
at the recital of world renowned pianist Yundi Li at the Hong Kong Coliseum where he received a master class coaching from the maestro.

Anson is equally capable at other instruments. He holds an ATCL diploma in bassoon and is an active orchestral player, including the Junior Symphony Orchestra of HKAPA, Senior Symphony Orchestra of Diocesan Boys’ School and Neowinds. His exceptional performance of Electone was showcased in the 2010 & 2014 Asia Pacific Electone Festival in Taiwan and Malaysia. In addition, he presented his original compositions at the 2012 and 2013 Asia Pacific Junior Original Concert in Malaysia & Hong Kong. Specially chosen by Yamaha Music Japan, Anson represented his home town in the Grand Final of 2014 Electone Festival in Japan.

Anson is currently studying piano underDr. Karl Lo at the HKAPA and is frequentlycoached by Prof. GabrielKwok, Prof. Eleanor Wong, and Ms. EvaLue.
