This unique event will take you on a virtual journey through subdivided flats in Hong Kong, providing a fresh perspective on urban living.
What to Expect:
Introduction to Subdivided Flats: Learn about the concept of subdivided flats in Hong Kong, including their historical context, current trends, and the challenges faced by residents.
Virtual Reality Experience: Each participant will engage in a about 15-20-minute VR session, exploring virtual representations of subdivided flats. This immersive experience will include a briefing to help you become familiar with the VR equipment and gameplay.
Guided Exploration: Experience the layout, design, and living conditions of these flats through a carefully curated VR program, highlighting both the creativity and constraints of urban living.
Discussion and Reflection: After the VR experience, we will gather for a discussion where participants can share their thoughts, insights, and reflections on the experience and its implications for urban living.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in urban studies, architecture, social issues, or anyone looking to understand the realities of living in subdivided flats.

- Quota: 12 participants/ hour
- one device experience per person, including briefing of subdivided flat information.
- No prior experience is necessary! Just bring your curiosity and willingness to explore new perspectives. We will provide all VR equipment.
- On-site, a $50 Urban Room shopping voucher will be given for in-store purchases.
- All fees, after deducting the shopping voucher, will be donated to Caritas Hong Kong.
