The charm of JingKun & Zheng MusicYao Yueh Chinese Music Association Limited

With the mission of "Promoting Traditional Chinese Music, Inheriting Tradition, Continuing Innovation, and Serving the Community, the Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association ( YYCMA ) is hosting a series of events this year to commemorate its 50 years of growth and contribution to society.

The YYCMA will hold the YYCMA Golden Jubilee Concert Series 4 - The charm of JingKun & Zheng Music Concert on December 26 ( Friday ) evening at the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium. The orchestra is honored to invite renowned Zheng mestero Luo Jing from Shanghai to collaborate with the Baihua Award winner Deng Wansha for this concert.

Both Jingju ( Beijing Opera ) and Kunqu ( Kunqu Opera ) have been passed down for hundreds of years and are renowned both domestically and internationally. Kunqu is regarded as a national treasure with significant literary value, while Jingju is considered a national essence with remarkable vocal qualities. This concert aims to explore these two similar yet distinctly different musical genres. Through the elegant performances of the esteemed Zheng artist Luo Jing and the Kunqu and Jingju performer Deng Wansha, the concert will offer music enthusiasts a refined cultural and musical feast.
