"Trey succeeds in creating an intoxicating intimacy…and brilliants playing from English Chamber Orchestra." BBC Music Magazine on Piazzolla's Four Seasons
Celebrated cellist Trey Lee reunites with the long-established English Chamber Orchestra ( ECO ) in Lee's own re-arrangement of Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. Renowned as the most recorded orchestra in the world, the ECO has worked with top artists at home and abroad, recently with Trey Lee on the album Seasons Interrupted ( 2024 ). This collaboration was praised by the BBC Music Magazine as "simply captivating", and led to Lee's widely acclaimed performance in ECO's 2024 season opening concert at London's Cadogan Hall.
Following the original album concept in response to climate change, this nature-themed concert completes an ear-opening journey with a strings version of Beethoven's idyllic Pastoral Symphony and Tchaikovsky's beautiful "Chant d'automne" ( October ) from The Seasons.
Join us as we mark the 15th anniversary of Musicus Society with the distinguished musicians of the ECO, who have embodied the highest music-making standards for over 60 years. And don't miss the creativity and virtuosity showcased by Trey Lee in The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires!
