Continuing the success of our Inaugural Organ Series, the Academy of Music, HKBU is proud to present organ maestro David Higgs for the next recital in our series, taking place the day after maestro Dong-ill Shin’s performance.
His programme spans from Baroque to modern music, showing the organ's wide range of sounds and styles, with works by Buxtehude, Conte, Müthel, Shearing, Widor, Kennedy, and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
David Higgs is the Minehan Family Professor of Organ, Chair of the Organ Department at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, USA. Celebrated for his artistry and leadership, Higgs has appeared on major stages including Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
