In her backpack, she makes sure not to forget her essentials: a tarot deck, stones, a pendulum, and her phone. Juliette, who has 40,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram, describes herself as a modern witch. In the languid rhythm of summer, Juliette's daily life takes on a touch of magic. Between swims and evenings on the beach, the young woman heals her friends' burns, asks the universe for help with her university admission, and reads the cards to understand the path she should take in life.
Swiss director Pauline Jeanbourquin films this pivotal period with great proximity, capturing the aspirations, doubts, and beliefs that accompany the transition into adulthood. Born in 1995 and a graduate in directing from ECAL (Lausanne University of Art and Design), she distinguished herself from the beginning: her short documentary La séance de 15h was selected for the International Film Festival of Fribourg, while her graduation film Crépuscule won the award for Best Swiss Short Film at NIFFF. After working as an assistant director and casting director, she directs her first feature documentary, Feu, Feu, Feu, produced by Close Up Films, confirming a sensitive and attentive perspective on intimate transformations.
