For the second concert, we are more than delighted to have Alison Lau as the artist and joined by pianist Jason Liu!
Born into a musical family in Hong Kong, Alison’s journey into singing was full of beautiful surprises — from childhood memories with the Hong Kong Children’s Choir to discovering her love for art songs, opera, and eventually baroque & early music. After training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the New England Conservatory, she has built a luminous international career.
She regularly collaborates with top early music ensembles including Nederlands Bachvereniging, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir, and Vox Luminis, working with renowned conductors such as Ton Koopman and Lionel Meunier. Highlights include her solo debut at the Concertgebouw as Belinda in Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas and upcoming performances of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and a new Purcell production across Europe in the 2025–26 season.
On piano: Jason Liu, a versatile collaborative pianist, conductor, and composer based in Hong Kong. A faculty accompanist at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (where he earned his Master of Music with distinction), Jason has collaborated with ensembles such as WDR Rundfunkchor Köln, accentus, Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus, and Opera Hong Kong. He is also Assistant Conductor of The Learners Chorus and has received acclaim for his recent opera conducting debut with Britten’s Albert Herring. His award-winning compositions have been performed locally and abroad.
Together, Alison and Jason promise an evening of exquisite vocal artistry, musical insight, and heartfelt performance and we cannot wait to share with you all!
