What was it like when you first arrived in Hong Kong? Exciting? Uncertain? Full of hope?

Living and working far from home is not always easy. There are language differences, cultural adjustments, and moments of homesickness. But there are also friendships, shared laughter, and small victories that make this city feel a little more familiar each day.

We invite Non-cantonese speakers living in Hong Kong to join us for a warm and welcoming sharing gathering.

What is World Café?

World Café is a facilitation method that generates collective wisdom through rotating small-group conversations and a harvest in a relaxed atmosphere. It views dialogue as a core process for forming new perspectives, creating a conversational context that encourages participants to overcome communication barriers, fully engage in dialogue, explore issues together, and develop deeper thinking.

Collaborator/Host:

Shirley is a facilitation advocate dedicated to making it easier for others to learn and apply guidance. By writing the LinkedIn newsletter 'Facilitation Snippet' and hosting the World Café event, we aim to spark meaningful conversations. World Café CAT is a self-initiated community project dedicated to organizing “World Café” events in local small businesses and community spaces. The project seeks to cultivate collective wisdom while supporting the sustainable and long-term development of these spaces. Since December 2023, more than 65 events have been convened.
