For St Mary's drama production, 17 – 25 April, 2026 we are heading into the mountains. A group of HK teenage orphans from a children's home, all of whom are searching for somewhere they can belong in the world, are given a free holiday in a mountain village in the Austrian Alps. On this holiday they make discoveries about themselves and interact with the local villagers, some of whom are not entirely friendly. While on a hike up the nearest mountain, a minor accident occurs leading to broken relationships and jealous rivalry. One of the boys gets lost and discovers the girl who will become the love of his life, but their meeting is both romantic and tragic as it coincides with the death of the girl's only living relative. Two of the girls also get lost and meet a strange-looking woman who seems to be much like a witch. The villagers all hate and fear this woman, but one of the girls strikes up a friendship with her, but then real tragedy occurs. Suddenly the mountain moves and an avalanche descends, cutting off the village from the outside world. Thankfully no lives are lost, but many lives are changed forever by this dramatic event.
