Ruby Kwan

Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Education ( Hons ), Ruby then completed the Master of Drama Education presented by Griffith University.

Ruby works predominantly for drama education, arts administration and theatre performances. Collaborated with secondary schools, primary schools, NGOs and community centres, she always responsible for curriculum design, workshop facilitation and Theatre-in-Education projects implementation.

Recent acting history in reading theatre “Bad Roads” and “Insulted. Belarus(sia)” by Blank Space Studio.

Besides directorial duties, Ruby’s acting history is in "Shall We Die" (Re-run) , “The Happy Wizard”, “Finding Mr. K”, “Run Run Hero”, “Potato Ninja”, “We Wa Summer”, “Working Dead” and “Gasping” by Boney Show; “LGBT II”, “Come Out” ( Re-run ) and “Beyond Therapy” by Theatrideo; “Winds of Change” by Theatre Horizon etc.

Furthermore, with over 20 years’ experiences for drama education, Ruby is now the head of teaching team of ‘Little Theatre Seed’. Ruby participates actively in community programmes such as “(Another) Part of Fairy Tale”, “A Cloud on The Horizon”; and in various school drama festival as the director, playwright, producer, designer, and adjudicator, she often brings in rewarding and meaningful drama performances.

Ruby is the current Marketing and Programme Manager of the Hong Kong Dance Company.
