簡介

“Back2Bach Suites” features Bach’s Cello Suites No.4 (E-flat major) and No.6 (D major) played by Wong KaLap on the cello and accompanied by Stephen Hung on the harpsichord in a new arrangement specifically made for the concert. Although the Bach Suites were composed for unaccompanied cello solo as a self-sufficient work without the need of an accompaniment, the limitations of the instrument nevertheless means that there are gaps and blank spaces of various kinds in the music. Without meaning to judge whether the work is better or worse with or without these empty spaces, the process of thinking about the gaps and filling them in can help us be conscious of the potential of the music that had been left unsaid by Bach, especially with Suite 4, whose prelude often appears mystifying, and with Suite 6, whose writing is the most challenging.

The concert is children-friendly, and welcomes audiences of all ages. Colour-filling sheets will be provided for children if required, but please bring your own colouring pencils or crayons.

Back2Bach Suites 音樂會將以大提琴加上古鍵琴伴奏的方式為觀眾呈獻第四首及第六首無伴奏大提琴組曲,由黃家立拉奏大提琴、熊韋皓彈奏古鍵琴。巴哈的無伴奏組曲最令人讚嘆的是他能夠讓一件本身是旋律性為主的樂器(大提琴)呈現出複雜而且飽滿的和弦。旋律在音樂裏是屬於橫向的平面,而和弦是縱向的平面,透過橫向的旋律去型做縱向的和弦,需要聽者的想像和詮釋去為留白的空間填上色彩。為無伴奏組曲加上伴奏,驟眼看會覺得是反其道而行,但既然樂曲留白的地方給予了我們詮釋的空間,編寫伴奏的版本正正就是在這個著眼點做創作,讓我們深思、回味這音樂的可能性。音樂會選了第四首及第六首組曲為對象,因為第四首的前奏曲本身比較難捉摸,也就是說它的創作空間最大;第六首在大提琴上的難度最高(因為古時樂器的差別),附上古鍵琴的伴奏就更可以表達音樂的層次。

音樂會歡迎任何年齡的小孩參加,並將提供填色紙給孩子邊聽邊畫,但需自攜畫筆。
