Mr. And Mrs. Sloop never had a child. This emptiness slowly filled their lives, making their relationship miserable. Arguments are the only sounds breaking the bitter silence, until one evening, a frightening roar stops them from fighting. A tiger stands in the hall. The outcome of this highly charged encounter is narrated by Alexine, the naïve and down-to-earth maid, as she's testifying in court. She delivers a tremendously humorous story, making this madcap tale suitable for everyone above 8 years old.
Mr. And Mrs. Sloop, their maid, the tiger, but also a zookeeper, a butcher, and many more colourful characters are all being played by only one actress, Agnès Seelinger, in French with English and Cantonese surtitles.
The program is presented by the Seelinger Arts Foundation, a local charity whose aim is to foster French – Chinese cooperation through the arts (www.seelingerartsfoundation.org). Come to our show and enjoy yourselves while supporting the Foundation.
