Fresh flowers always wither at such a speed that makes us nostalgic and sad. To retain their temperature and extend their lives, we can convert fresh flowers into dried ones, and preserve their colors through natural dyeing. Even though these colors may get less vivid, they come with an extra sentiment of gentleness and nostalgia. Together let's add natural colors to the beauty of life with our own hands.
This workshop consists of two sessions, which can be joined separately, or together (recommended).
Session 1 - Hand-tie Bouquet by nao florist
nao florist is bringing you a summer collection of flowers. We will first start with making a hand-tie bouquet, follow with tips of which flower can be air-dried and the relevant techniques. So the bouquet can live to its fullest, showing you its beauty in different forms, and staying with you throughout the summer. Every participant will bring home with them a 30cm+ bouquet after the class.

Session 2 - Natural Dye by kenobi
In the second part of this workshop, our instructor from kenobi will make use of the floral materials from the first session, together with other plants that can be used as dyes, and create scarves with learners through natural dyeing. In the end of this session, each learner will create a 65x65cm hand-dyed scarf. Those who have joined the first session of the workshop (hand-tie bouquet) will get to make hand-dyed ribbons for flower bouquets for free.
