L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts Course Beyond the Exhibition: Bejeweled!
As part of the current “An Eye for Beauty, the Illuminata Jewelry Collection” exhibition, this special educational program follows the jewelry exhibits to explore the fashion and jewelry trend from the 18th century until the modern days and how the two categories went hand in hand to enhance the elegance of the wearer.
This course includes a one-hour classroom discussion by an Art Historian, as well as a one-hour private exhibition tour.
Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra ‘A Musical Tour of China’s North and South’
A Legacy of Exotic Lyricism is another signature programme of the HKCO that stands out with its artistic characteristic, which is the ‘traditional’ repertory of Chinese music accumulated over time. It covers not only the melodic aspect but also the musical instruments, performance techniques etc. The concert of this season will feature the Jiangnan sizhu (silk-and-bamboo) chamber ensemble of the south, and the wind-and-percussion ensemble of the north. The audience will experience the captivating charm of this type of traditional Chinese music with its distinctive southern and northern styles.
