"Pastoral Harmony"
"Harmony" is the harmonization of musical notes, as well as the harmony between heaven and earth. In response to the rallying call to live in harmony with the natural environment, HKCO has lined up a programme which, when played out against special effect lighting and stage design with Guest Resident Conductor Sun Peng and Chinese Pipa virtuoso Zhang Yadi, will recreate the environmental backgrounds of different landscapes for an immersive experience the audience will never forget.
"Tunes of Tianjin and Northern China"
Tianjin is known as the "Home of Song Art", and boasts a rich history as well as a longstanding cultural background. This concert focuses on showcasing the unique cultural and artistic aspects of Tianjin in northern China. Rupert Woo Pak Tuen, Assistant Conductor and Resident Conductor of HKCO, will be the conductor and Wang Zhanzhan on the faculty of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Gao Chao and Gao Yue of the middle school affiliated to the Conservatory have been invited to guest perform on the occasion to complement the ‘Tianjin’ touch.
